Cranium Academy · Orlando, Florida

Academically exceptional and genuinely fun, on screen too.

Private school, 12 months through middle school, two campuses

Cranium Academy is built around the belief that every child deserves an education that is both academically exceptional and genuinely fun. Founded in Orlando, Florida, with two campuses serving the Winter Garden/Windermere and East Orlando/Lake Nona communities, the school has grown from a small critical thinking program into a full preschool through middle school private school experience, driven entirely by the vision of founders who were dissatisfied with the status quo in early education.

Programs and educational philosophy

A layered suite of programs that grow with each child.

Their approach blends advanced academics with creativity and exploration, drawing from Montessori principles, traditional methods, and play-based learning to create something wholly their own.

  1. Toddlers and preschool: A nurturing foundation in early literacy, social development and hands-on exploration.
  2. Cranium Explorers: Montessori-style critical thinking lessons across the four scientific domains, the vocabulary of inquiry from an early age.
  3. CAPS: The flagship private school program: continuous assessment and an individualized path in reading and math for every child.
  4. Art, music and writing: An art curriculum built with Crayola, music from rhythm to world traditions, and writing through to full compositions and cursive.
  5. Middle school: After-school programs and themed summer camps keep children engaged through every season.

Digital presence

Energetic, welcoming, and academically serious without feeling rigid.

What families feel at the door

The school’s identity sits at the intersection of high achievement and genuine enjoyment, and the website needed to communicate both.

Each stage, addressed distinctly

Parents considering a private school for a toddler need different information than those evaluating an elementary or middle school placement. The site walks families through what their child will learn, how progress is tracked, and what the daily experience actually looks like.

Warmth and momentum

The “clubhouse” feel of the physical campuses, the energy of the classrooms, and the relationship between teachers and students, in photography and layout rather than a sterile academic environment.

Direct, low-friction calls to action

Tour scheduling front and center, since in-person visits are central to enrollment, and VPK availability and enrollment windows highlighted, since limited spots create genuine urgency.

Reflecting innovation in design and UX

Two campuses, their own identities, one brand.

The architecture is flexible enough for both campus locations to maintain their own identities while operating under a unified brand, allowing the school to update enrollment information, camp schedules, and program details without disrupting the overall experience.
